Mark Bryson has heard this familiar phrase his whole life, having grown up in Dahlonega, GA. It was a rallying cry for the mountain town and is part of the history and folklore of the region since the early 19th century when gold was discovered there. The story of Georgia gold and how it shaped the state and the country is one of heroes and villains, technology and hard manual labor, risk and reward, risk and failure, and the westward expansion of the frontier of the Deep South. Come join us for Mark’s wonderful presentation!
