A Service of Lament and Prayer

Adult Groups All Church

A Service of Lament and Prayer Saturday, February 1, 2026 | 6:30 p.m.
Dobbs Chapel, Trinity Presbyterian Church
“Do not stand idly by while your neighbor’s blood is shed.” — Leviticus 19:16
In these times of fear and chaos—as immigrant families face separation and detention, as protesters risk their safety seeking justice, as violence claims innocent lives—we gather to lift our voices in lament and prayer.
Join us for an interfaith service grounded in the ancient and faithful practice of bringing our strongest emotions—our grief, anger, and pain—before God. Together, we will name what is wrong in our world, hold space for those who suffer, and pray for God’s presence with all our neighbors.
This is a time to cry out, to light candles of hope, to say “Amen” to the prayers of others, and to remember that we are not alone. Whether you come in active anguish or in solidarity, you are welcome.
All are invited.
