A Spring of Hope

A Joyful Easter

Our celebration of Easter Sunday was truly grand! It was so wonderful to see so many friends and family. The music was glorious, the lilies were beautiful and the smiles were heartfelt!

Special thanks to Catherine Campbell for orchestrating an amazing musical experience. Thanks to Melinda Clark for her magic on the organ. And thanks to the choir for making it all happen.

Thanks also to Barbara Atchley and Virginia Gilbert for the Easter Egg Hunt and the quick pivot from the wet grass to the Chapel. It really was a wonderful day and such a joy to be part of this church community!

A Spring of Hope

(or Scott Hovey’s Upcoming Adventures)

This Sunday after church, I will be heading west for a week. As I’ve joked with many of you, I will be going to Chicago by way of California. I will spend a few days in California with my parents and our oldest son Marco. Then I will spend the second half of the week in Chicago at the Alliance of Baptists annual gathering. I look forward to representing our church to the Alliance and reporting back what I learn. I will not be in worship on April 19. Priscilla Eppinger will be preaching that Sunday. I’ll be back in the office on Monday, April 20.

At the beginning of May, the Hovey/Hieserman family will be moving. But not far! We are leaving our condo on Peachtree for a townhouse in Whittier Mill. This will give us more space (to entice our older kids to come home more often!), outdoor space and a garage. And we will still be in Sutton Middle School district for Eleanor.
