Easter 2026

The Easter event shook the foundations of the world!

Pardon me for being dramatic.

Jesus dealt with many of our maladies during his ministry: sickness, blindness, disease, social stigma. But doing battle with death itself was his greatest undertaking. Our faith proclaims that the one who defeated death is able to stand with us in our darkest times, able to deliver us from the most heinous foes, able to free us from the most devastating situations.

A savior that can’t do all that isn’t much of a savior at all.

My sermon this Sunday is entitled, “To Believe Impossible Things.” If the impossible remains impossible, then what are we even doing here? More than just making life a bit more livable, more than just making this world a little more just, Jesus overturned the whole thing. And because he did, we can set our sights on other impossible things: like swords turned into plowshares, like dignity and opportunity for all, like healing and wholeness, like freedom and liberation.

Join us this Sunday as we celebrate Easter. Our service will feature glorious music, beautiful lilies, meaningful words, and an invitation to the table of Holy Communion. Communion on Easter is a beautiful reminder that our faith begins with the inclusion of table fellowship and is ushered forth in the wide-open ending of an empty tomb.

See you Sunday!
