Lent is Coming!
The season of Lent encompasses the 40 days before Easter Sunday. It is a time of spiritual preparation and inward reflection. It is a time of honest assessment and confession of our sins and shortcomings.
Lent begins with Ash Wednesday. This year Ash Wednesday is on March 5. Our Ash Wednesday service will be that evening at 6:45 in the Sanctuary.
On our Lenten journey, I invite you to join me in reading and reflecting on the book Hope is Here! by Dr. Luther Smith, professor emeritus from Candler School of Theology. This book and the accompanying study guide will lead us through reflections and meditations in the season of Lent. We will meet at the church on Wednesdays in Lent (beginning on March 12) at 6:00PM.
