Missions Lunch and Learn

Marc and Kim are good friends and longtime ministry partners. They have served as CBF field personnel for many years- first in Thailand, then many years in Ottawa, Canada and then finally in the Triangle (Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill) of North Carolina. The focus of their work has been with refugees and immigrants. During their time in Canada, the Wyatts helped set up a number of Matthew Houses, places of welcome for newly arrived immigrants. They brought this vision to NC and set up the Welcome House (now with many locations).
A Welcome House is the first home for immigrants and refugees. It is often the first ‘home’ after arriving at the airport. Families may stay a week or maybe a month until they find their own place. But their time at the Welcome House is an important time of transition. The Wyatts, along with local CBF churches, provide hospitality- food, transportation, care. The Wyatts will be with us on Sunday, November 2. You are invited to join a Lunch and Learn in the Chapel after the service. They will share many stories about their ministry and ways that we, too, can join in the important Gospel work of welcoming the stranger.
