Super S-o-u-p-e-r Bowl

Sunday’s Souper Bowl to raise money for the Hunger Fund was a delicious success. Thank you to all of the NDBC chefs, bakers, shoppers, donors, and all-around willing helpers who contributed to making this Souper Bowl of Caring one of our best ever! The Fellowship Hall was filled with the yummy smell of chilis like white bean chicken and cheesy chili and soups like vegetable beef, mushroom, tomato bisque, corn crab chowder, and even Taylor Swift’s favorite soup---butternut squash. Seventy Northside Drivers sampled the soups made by their fellow members and enjoyed brownies and cookies for dessert. The total collected on Sunday was $3465! All of the donations will be used to address the issue of food insecurity through mission partners such as Urban Recipe, the Andrew P. Stewart Center, and CBF agricultural ministries. It is not too late to contribute to this important NDBC ministry. Include “Hunger Fund’ on the memo line of your check or on-line donation form.
